Community Guidelines

Last updated: July 7, 2026

ncountr is built for Black GBTQ+ community. These guidelines set clear expectations for how we treat one another so our space stays inclusive, safe, and vibrant. Violations may result in warnings, restrictions, or permanent bans as described in our Terms of Service.

1. Our Values

ncountr exists to center Black GBTQ+ experiences in social connection, dating, nightlife, and community building. We welcome allies who respect this mission and contribute positively to our culture.

  • Black GBTQ+ centered: We prioritize spaces, features, and moderation decisions that serve our core community.
  • Inclusive: We celebrate diversity within our community across gender identity, sexual orientation, body type, disability, and background.
  • Safe: We invest in tools, policies, and human review to protect members from harm, harassment, and exploitation.

3. No Harassment or Discrimination

ncountr has zero tolerance for harassment, hate speech, and discrimination. Prohibited behavior includes:

  • Threats, stalking, intimidation, or repeated unwanted contact.
  • Slurs, dehumanizing language, or attacks based on race, ethnicity, skin tone, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, disability, HIV status, or other protected characteristics.
  • Body shaming, fatphobia, or mocking someone's appearance.
  • Doxxing or publishing private information to harm or embarrass someone.
  • Organized brigading, targeted harassment campaigns, or coordinated abuse.

4. No CSAM (Zero Tolerance)

ncountr has an absolute zero-tolerance policy for child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and any content that sexualizes minors. This includes images, text, links, or solicitations involving anyone under 18.

Violations result in immediate permanent account termination, preservation of evidence, and reporting to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and relevant law enforcement authorities. There are no warnings and no appeals for CSAM violations.

5. Content Rules

Profile photos

Profile photos must be of you (or accurately represent you). No stolen images, stock photos used to mislead, or photos of other people without permission. Photos must comply with our moderation standards and must not depict illegal activity.

NSFW content

Explicit or mature content is opt-in only. Users must enable mature content in their settings before viewing or sharing NSFW material. Do not send unsolicited explicit images. Content marked as mature is subject to additional moderation and must still comply with all other guidelines.

Illegal content

Do not post content that promotes or facilitates illegal activity, including drug sales, weapons trafficking, human trafficking, or financial fraud. Forum posts, messages, and media are all subject to these rules.

6. Impersonation & Fraud

Do not impersonate another person, public figure, ncountr staff member, or organization. Fake profiles, catfishing, and identity fraud undermine trust and may cause real harm.

Scams, phishing, solicitation of money or gifts under false pretenses, and promotion of fraudulent services are prohibited. Verified badges exist to help members identify authentic profiles - do not attempt to forge or circumvent verification.

7. Reporting

If you see behavior that violates these guidelines, report it. You can report profiles, messages, forum posts, comments, and media directly from within the app by selecting the report option on the relevant content.

When reporting, select the most accurate reason and provide details where possible. False or malicious reports may themselves result in enforcement action against the reporter.

After you submit a report, our moderation team reviews it. Depending on severity, we may take immediate action or escalate for further review. Automated systems, including OpenAI-powered analysis, may assist in triaging reports. You may not receive notification of the outcome due to privacy constraints, but serious safety issues are prioritized.

8. Enforcement

We enforce these guidelines proportionally based on severity, history, and impact. Enforcement actions may include:

  • Warnings: For minor or first-time violations where education may be sufficient.
  • Temporary suspensions: Restricting access to messaging, forums, photo uploads, or the entire platform for a defined period.
  • Permanent bans: For severe violations, repeat offenses, CSAM, credible threats, or conduct that puts the community at risk.

We may also apply shadow restrictions or remove specific content without notifying the user in cases where notification could compromise an investigation.

9. Appeals

If you believe an enforcement action was made in error, you may appeal by emailing safety@ncountr.app with your account details and a clear explanation of why you believe the decision should be reversed.

Appeals are reviewed by a member of our safety team. We aim to respond within a reasonable timeframe. Decisions on CSAM violations and credible threats are not eligible for appeal. Submitting an appeal does not guarantee reinstatement.
